Сегодня Глава государства Нурсултан Назарбаев возложил цветы к Вечному огню у монумента «Отан қорғаушылар» и поздравил казахстанцев с Днем Победы.
Президент Казахстана почтил минутой молчания память погибших в Великой Отечественной войне. Глава государства напомнил, что на фронт было отправлено 1 млн. 800 тыс. казахстанцев, из которых почти половина не вернулась.

В Астане, в Центральном концертном зале «Қазақстан» состоялись торжественное собрание, посвященное 20-летию Вооруженных Сил Республики Казахстан и праздничный концерт ко Дню защитника Отечества.
